Lookin to take the family to christmas island for a holiday. googled the advert in tracks, asl and shows christmas island to be in the pacific ocean just under Hawaii, we all know that isn't right. has anyone been there and how is it for a change as the missus is well over sumatra, bali, lombok etc. pretty vague website, just wanna surf (pardon the pun haha) and have the family well relaxed. looks like it doesnt get big swells but looks like fun on the other hand, maybe up to 6 foot thoughts?????

According to the news the whole place is overrun with boat people they are even staying at the pub. Doesn't sound like a holiday destination to me

And to top it off, being crowded and the pub no longer a pub, i believe the surf is not real good or even accessible as the island is one giant cliff. The positive being that just a mere 400+ clicks away cocos island has some surf but indo aint much further away!!!!!
