While I don't post as regularly as I used to, I still enjoyed chipping in here and there discussing with all you wise lot. While the red thumb topic as a few of you's have seen in the LB forum got out of hand, I'd like to think I'm thick skinned enough to ignore it. At the same time, it does drag and I'm not one hang about, whinge about it and complain.

So cheers to you all for helping me out with my surfing because I know I wouldn't have gotten this far with it all without your great advices. Surfings given so much to me and opened so many doors surprisingly. To the thumber, I have nothing personal against you and if I was one to rile you up in the past, sorry about that and theres a beer in it for ya one day.

Hope you all have a good weekend and surf.

I don't even notice if I've ben RT'd.
If you do drive a 4runner/surf, it'd be you that I had a chat to a while back. It surprised me as I've not met anyone friendly at my ex-local for over a decade.
If it wasn't you, well... bye I guess.
Happy surfing.

roll with the punches:

to adjust to difficult events as they happen - roll with it.

" The poor woman has been jeered at and threatened with her life, but she just rolls with the punches."

Etymology: based on boxing, from the literal meaning roll with the punches (step back or to one side as you are being hit), so that you do not receive the full force of the attack.

I've got a real problem with the thumbs. I'm a teacher and while you don't go telling kids who got something wrong that they're right, you do also acknowledge their effort.

I think everyone answers with their best effort and rating the effort is pretty poor. Even if I disagree with something, the person has put a lot of effort into what they said.

See, this is what that slag Charlotte Dawson should have done when she got bullied online, just said good bye, turned off her Internet and cried into her tampon box!

So off ya go newguy, find that tampon box and let a few tears out!

Oh no! Now I'm gonna get red thumbed

Can I borrow that box after you mate?

Haha well I got in the water the other day and crashed someone's singles party on some very shallow breaking waves.

Makes sense to me...

The Problem Newguy is you would have no idea who it even is, don't let them bother you mate. That's just what we need in the SB room. Even less people posting[}:)]

I've got an announcement to make about the thumbs soon, and have emailed newguy/jbshack with the details.

Changes are afoot, and the main offender & their duplicate accounts suspended yesterday.

You misunderstand - after reading laurie's red-thumb topic it's obvious to me newguy/jbshack was the double-alias thumber .

I'm surprised it wasn't doggie/legion (and I forget who my/our third alias was?).

Not me. I did however PM Laurie on behalf on people like Newguy. I personally couldn't care about thumbs for me but i don't feel they are good for the entire website. Some disagree with me, not my problem but i did pm Laurie to give my feedback.

Honestly i'm very disappointed in total with the site to a point. (This will bring out the reds) I'd hoped this would lead to meeting like minded people to surf with. Cool folk who share the stoke and are tolerant of others but its not that

As i said to Laurie, in the early days i would ask people if there are Seebreeze in the surf. Now i don't as i'm afraid of who i might bump into and what may then transpire

I communicate more with people via PM these days then online as it ends up more civil a conversation..

I'm yet to read Laurie red thumb post but i look forward to it and seeing the end to who ever was just poking fun for the enjoyment of it at the expense of others
