Hey guys / girls

Looking at heading over to Byron bay and the goldy for a week or so next march / April. Anyone got any tips on where to stay and what to do (particularly in Byron as I don't know much about the area)?
Keen to get in the water a bit if possible so need some decent accommodation close to the surf, it will be my wife and our 1 year old so we would need family friendly stuff

Cheers in advance

You don't even have to get out of the car. Just drive into town and wind the window down and they'll come running.
Not recommended for your one year old though

We stayed at Clarkes beach caravan park in a beach front villa. Perfect for surf all day long and close enough to walk to town if you like. Remember everywhere you go you will pay for parking so sometimes its better not to have a car..

Bangalo was good.
On the beach, then walk into town for an evening meal at the Spanish/Mex restaurant opposite the pub, $5 Uber back to your digs. Pizza in the lane behind the pub is good also.
All very civilised.
Dog **** is a problem, it's everywhere. But that's Byron.

Lennox Head is also worth looking at, bit more laid back, surf village with a few options, while still a short drive to Byron.
