Gday Guys , anyone have any experience with buying a board from over east and having it transported over . Thinking of getting a webber sent over and just abit worried about damage during transit
I just took delivery of a board I bought in Sydney. I used e-go.com.au to freight it. Picked up Wednesday afternoon and was in Adelaide Friday morning. No damage but was a good packing job done on it as well.
These guys were cheap ($48 incl $500 Insurance) and pretty fast. Only criticism is their tracking feature showed it hadn't even been collected which I queried. I was still trying to get them to talk sense (via email) to me when I got a phone call from a storeman telling me it had arrived. Otherwise all good.
have bought kneeboards from a guy in Byron Bay for years, he wraps them up really well using offcuts from the shaping process to protect the rails then uses about six layers of bubble wrap. They come over by rail, then run down to Mandurah by truck, costs about 80 bucks. Never had a single scratch in ten or so years.
