Can anybody recommend a pair of booties that have a really thin sole? Tried to avoid buying a pair but I think it's u avoidable now so want a pair that allow me to really feel the board under my feet and have a really flexible sole.

Thanks in advance.

I find that once Im out the back I take the front foot of so I can feel the board. Back foot doesn't seem to be any trouble.

Being from vic I have a suspicion that you want them for the cold rather than the reef? So they're will be no taking them off I suspect.

Spot on DJMWA. I tried just using wetsuit socks but it hasn't really worked for me.

I use ripcurl f bomb 3mm ones.. i find as long as it has a split toe they dont really bother me..

Id rather be warm than end a surf early cos I cant feel my toes.

Ive tried the 5mm ones and they are too thick

My booties i was told to get a size too small so they stay tight. BUT i find the sole keeps creeping and i end up standing on the sole/heel and i can't stand it. I will one day get the next size up (my actual size) and see how that goes

I got ripcurls, real comfy with split toe,, but the straps both broke at the same time , same place exactly same session about 4 months from purchase. I only surfed bali one week and pasta one week in that time.. so go figure quality?
Consolation was that the configuration allowed me to stick them together hook/loop to keep them working . I imagine they'll replace them if I can get around to finding the receipt and getting back to the store..

I've had a pair of split toe West booties for 5 years and they're still in good nick. They're the blue and black ones. Super comfy and nice thin soles
