Hi All,

I'm going to be in Bondi for the day in a few weeks so thought I'd try and get a quick surf in. Is there anywhere that hires decent short boards near the beach (i won't have any transport).

Thanks in advance

Plenty of places to hire crap beginner boards

I know bondi surf co & dripping wet have some better stuff available to demo so maybe worth checking out with those guys.

In the spirit of community depending on when you want to go I am willing to lend you one of mine on a break it and buy it basis...

Thanks Craig, that is a great offer but I'd be sweating on dinging your board based on the rumours of how zoo like Bondi can be. I looked at both those shops on the web and they seemed to only have NSP rentals.

I'll hit them up when I get there and see if I can get a decent demo, just didn't want to be hunting around all day as I only have a small window.

Bondi - you will have more fun lying around on the sand enjoying the views - probably the most over rated wave going around as a general rule and crowds that will make you cry. Its a zoo with zero etiquette and dangerous as all hell. Can occasionally get a few decent ones but they are few and far between. Goodluck Have a look at aqua bumps for some insight into both wave quality n the crowd. Uge is pretty honest about things at his home.
