It's been summer and I've put my wettie away in preference for boardies and a rashy. Yet is it my poor skills or are boardies so much harder to surf in? Wen wearing a wetty my pop up and everything was so much smoother and easier. Its like they really drag and restrict ur movemement cos they don't stretch.

Any thoughts? Got a pair of ripcurls and myer one (maybe thats the reason?)

On a positive note, my surfings slowly getting better. Starting to surf the face of the wave more consistently (even in the small stuff of perth haha). Cheers for all ur advices to date!

Hi newguy

Glad to hear your improving mate.... stick with the boardies tho.

You'll find most surfers would prefer boardies over a wettie any day of the week, me included. Just give it a bit of time to get used to them, obviously its a different feeling for you at the moment but you'll grow to love em.
