Anyone know anywhere decent that does board hire with reasonable gear in Kuta area?
Cant take a board as im heading on to Japan straight after Bali. Cheers!

But renting a board in Bali won't be a problem, if your surfing in Japan it can be though. Hard to get away from volumous chunky rail learner boards being rented for no less than $30 for a few hours, often double. Around Kamakura, Izu & Shikoku anyway. Could be different in Chiba, I've never surfed there or further North past the radiation fallout up to Sendai which has awesome waves (no disrespect intended)...you'll have a great time, Japan is awesome, I'm overdue for a trip back. Havn't been since this time last year. It will be a bit chilli in Japan if your trip runs into November, should get by with a springy though.

Haha im heading over to snowboard in January, so no way will i be surfing! Thanks for the info though!
