You gotta love a surf film that doubles as a good narrative. In recent times I've quite enjoyed 30,000 and Sea of Darkness. The Storm Surfers movie was pretty good too!

no pros
only joe surfing good waves
whole picture is seen from distance ( like watching from car park). paddling in, taking off, riding and getting hammered.
hearing sound of the ocean. no background terrible muzaks.
that makes the best surf vids imo

Surfers of fortune, especially the section with slater taking off switchfoot, pulling into a barrel and coming out natural stance....epic!

'wanderjahr' not sure how many times I watched that, Margo is awesome as well as Andy Campbell.
