Yeh prob right - got the booties. Hood hey - any kind? I was actually kiting the other day and my hands nearly fell off! But the cold southern waters of bells, probably need a hood.

I use ONeil Psycho 1.5 gloves. Was out for 3 hrs today off Ocean Grove in the small messy slop and while it was cool, my hands stayed reasonably warm. Toes eventually went numb even though I was wearing Oneil boots. May have to look at a new pair.

Never even considered using gloves while surfing, but I can see webbed gloves being handy (cheating?) when you're trying to paddle for big waves at Mainbreak in winter

Never used them as I always thought they'd feel weird. Do your hands ever slip off the rails when jumping up to your feet?

I used them often when younger. Never slipped and worked well. A bit weird and you obvously cant pick your nose too well with them. I'd like a pair that had the fingers open still. Not for picking but just would be a bit more natural. IMHO

After a very cold surf on Tuesday have just ordered some online. Ebay actually and ony $35.

Now just need some booties. Have never ever surfed with booties and idea seems too far fetched but it was bloody cold..
