I'm looking at getting a new fish for summer but want something strong. My FireWire sweet potato didn't last a couple summers and am very disappointed with the construction.. It's in getting repaired again with leak on a fun box(no impact).

I've heard good things about tuflite board construction.

I'd like advice on what boards tuflite make that are in a fish or similar for 2ft summer waves with a bit of float like the sweet potato. I'm 6'2" and 85kg with average paddling fitness. My sweet potato was a 5' 10".

Appreciate any advice on what boards to look at or other construction types people may think might do the trick..

Surftech have very very little stock of boards at the moment so availability might be an issue. Hopefully this changes soon. The Tolhurst fish are great riding boards.

What about the 7S SuperFish in epoxy - v3 has just been released... I have been surfing my v2 as my go to board for over 2yrs and it does not have a mark on it... will handle surf up to well overhead no issue. In comparison, I had the previous model (v1) in PU for nearly 4yrs and you can tell that the board's had a lot of use.

Tufflites are hard as nails. Literally. If they clock you in the head you'll know all about it.

If you speak to a shaper with some experience in different construction they'll be able to help you out. Stone and Katana in WA both have extensive experience in compsand construction.

Plus one for the Tolhurst fish, perfect board for small or fat waves.
Surftech construction is the best in my opinion and when you ding them they do not soak up water like some other construction methods.
They are a bit stiff though.

I don't believe they are doing the superfish 3 in the super strong X2 construction, only the PE and the carbon vector. New shape looks great and the CV is tough and light but not like the X2 for absolute toughness. You may be able to hunt down a superfish 2 in X2.
