This was the first real swell to hit the Superbank after the sand was pumped. Mind surf these suckers. Rabbit and those guys said it was the best waves ever on the Gold Coast. Big call. By the 3rd day people were giving waves away, seriously. That never happens here. Great watch.

Have just returned from the goldy, and all the locals were saying the surf has been epic.Mind you , the day I surfed Snapper which was 5-6'foot I estimated easy 100 surfers all trying to find 100metre rides.Great to be out there amongst it all and see some filthy pits going down. Was also surprised coming from Perth that hardly anyone surfs the beachies over there.Had a great time ,took in a few theme parks as well.Food was very cheap to eat out and everyone friendly.!
Cheers

People do surf the beachies but with the swell we have had banks are a little hard to find. Good point swells are usually more lined up and the beaches struggle unless the sand is very defined.

The North End beachies were off chops with nobody around today. The South End were straight as a ruler and not worth the time.

Our beachies can be insane.....

Glad you had a great time over here, as my daughter grows up it's been great taking her to those theme parks etc that when you live here you never normally visit. Will be better when I'm on the roller coaster with her rather than the tea cup ride though

I would settle for just 100 metres of that.

Its bloody hard to surf, I was there just before the quik pro and jeez an hour of dodging and paddling to get one decent wave from little marley through to greenmount. Great wave but I recon there would have been 200+ in the water that day.
I have never seen that many chicks in the water before, there was little g,bangers everywhere, it was fun

I'm not into crowds, great looking setup though.
