I havnt surfed it but Ive heard its very tidal, but Im not sure what tide it works on.

Also been told it works in our summer their wet season and more offshores then as well for that side.

>>Disclaimer- I havnt surfed this wave and info by word of mouth only

doesnt work on low tide.
I was there in december just before christmas.
We had up to 6' overhead. On the big day we had over 40ppl in the water.
In 2 hours i never got a wave to myself.
Too many locals who know that place too good taking odd way behind the peak and somhow getting around. It was almost un-nerving coz you would take off thinking you were deapest then have to flick off when you saw them emerge from the foamball with bulk speed.

We would often get there when the tide was too low and be the first in the water, but within 40 min we would be crouded out since me and my greek mate arent pros.

The day it rained heaps, the rubish level in the water trippled coz its at a creek mouth. I also got bitten by some parasite on my ass, so bead cock jocks under ur boardies to protect the goods.

Overall i didnt rate it. That last day of my trip when it was so busy and our "guide" wouldnt take us anywhere else after not getting a wave left a very sour taste in my mouth.

Had the pleasure of having keramas to ourselves for a while before they finished the bypass and word got out. When it works its world class hence always crowded. I don't bother going there anymore as there's a bunch of good spots north and south of keramas with less crowd. Seek and ye shall find. Doggies right, works in the wet season nov to apr. Works best on incoming tide. Plenty of warungs in front of the break to hang out in should the surf be ****e. Have a good trip.

Cheers for that Berdie, was what I was thinking.

Thought about going to Bali in the wet season to dodge the crowds, what was I thinking???

Might give it a miss this year and go feral for a few weeks up north instead.

Yeah late starter, got in the mail this morning, the photo sucked me in

Surfed it before it was well known. Perfection.
Surfed it when it was getting wel known. A circus with pros demanding their photo opportunity.
It's now off my list.

Enjoy.

As the others mentioned its a wave that you will be lucky to get to yourself.. but Bali is pretty good in the wet season on the east coast, I spent two weeks there in December last year and it was great fun plenty of breaks if you look or have some mates who surf there regularly.

Though towards Christmas and new years the breaks do get a bit more crowded. But yeah skip Bali and go somewhere else... Sumbawa is sik and also lombok aswell they say these dont work in wet season but there are wet season breaks and aslong as your not expecting 8-10 foot pumping swells you will be plenty satisfied for whats on offer.... in fact I want to go there now...
