With the ASP effectively handing control of the WCT to a third party I am guessing there is going to a shakeup.

Uniformity of media coverage for the events is one change.

One team of commentators for all events rather than each of the majors own teams.

The challenge they have is that unlike other sports you cannot say they are going to play from this time to that time.

Internet has worked well to date and it would be sad to see this go by the wayside for the pursuit of the dollars.

Anyone know who the third party is? Hopefully they still have waiting periods and aren't bound by media to run events in exact timeslots, could be a backwards step if that happens, On the other hand at least professional surfing may be a bit more secure for a while after all the downturns in the indusry of late, and heres hoping J Bay gets some funding for next year!!

A company called Zosea

Slaters manager is one of the people behind the company but Slater says that he is not involved.

Current liscensee's have first right of refusal for naming right sponsorship for each contest come 2014 but no longer liable full event costs.

ZoSea will own the contest rights to all events including media rights.

Zosea will control WCT with some type of surfer liason person but not on board of company I dont think.

Press reporting little detail in busines plan which seems arse about.

Normally sign indicative term sheet then thrash out terms. Not sign the deal and then thrash out details.
