Last night the ABC show Catalyst documented current shark research.
I'm a user and supporter of Dave Smiths Surf Safe and it did support research showing electric pulse is a deterrent.
It was amazing to see how far tagged sharks are travelling.

I haven't seen the show yet, but i thought/was under the impression that it was a few years old
