The thread on Katana boards got me trying to remember another shaper who also makes eps boards in a similar layup to Firewire. I can't be certain if he puts in a vent but I remember what his website looks like but for the life of me can't remember who it is. I realise I couldn't be more vague if I tried but I think I originally went to the site from a post on here. (A search hasn't helped me) Anyway, his site has countless pictures of his custom boards with descriptions on each and you keep clicking on an arrow or something to see the next board. His boards are generally sprayed up with quite a bit of colour etc, (at least those on the site are).

If anyone can make sense of my ramblings and thinks they might know please let me know as it's eating me away.

P.S. Unfortunately my URL history is turned off so I can't go back to it that way.

P.P.S. It's not Sunova by the way.

Josh is a good bloke and makes works of art. Well worth talking to if you're interested in a custom compsand. Check out some of the stuff he's done with wings, channels, etc. Solving problems in an ingenious way that were previously unheard of with compsand construction.

Don't discount sunova, the guy invented the parabolic rail and deserves some recognition.

If you order a Sunova Bert won't take part in making it, it'll be made by guys in a Thai factory. And the Australian point of contact through the website doesn't surf AFAIK, so he might not understand what you're asking for if you want a custom. Allegedly on all counts. However, if you want a stock board model go ahead.

Having said that, yes, Bert deserves recognition. I wish he was still in Mandurah handmaking them.

Yeah dreads they're great looking boards for sure. Smicko have you an idea on what prices we're talking? I probably don't need a custom board but if it's not ludicrous it might be worth considering.

enjoyed looking at jds website at the custom boards, out of this world. also great link on his website to a thread on realsurf to see the story behind the customs. Best part was it wasnt hijacked by pridmore like all other design threads on there.
Legion are we talking over the thousand mark for one of those customs?

Yeah, roughly speaking that's around the mark.
