I dont think Adriano is going to get too upset at the judges. You have to take the good with the bad. He got the good last year at the Rio Pro in the Quarters scoring 8.23 for a single floater when he defeated but was clearly outsurfed by Owen Wright. Doesnt make it right but judging is subjective after all

It was a tough call but if you look at Adriano's wave - three quarters of the wave was him pumping for the next section. Yeh the punt was massive...but it was that and half decent whack at the end.

Put Taj's wave together and he stayed in the pocket and annihilated every possible section
