Hi there! Just wanted to share our latest article: a little guide about 10 surf spots in Thailand for the visiting wave hunter.

extremenomads.life/surfing-in-thailand-guide-nomads/

"Surfing in Thailand often gets overlooked, since most wave riding nomads tend to head for Balior the Philippines if they're planning to hit up the best surf spots in Asia.

So here's the deal: Can you surf in Thailand? Yes. Is it world class? Not really.

But even so: If you're looking for beginner friendly waves, easy going beach breaks, and uncrowded surfing spots, Thailand should definitely be on your radar. This article is going to go through the basics of what you need to know about surfing in Thailand, including the Thailand surfing season, where the best surfing locations are, and who to rent your boards from."

I was only there for about 7 days a few years ago in September (end of rainy season) & had fun small waves without crowds. Some awesome boat trips up behind the wavey beaches to places like James Bond Island & the place where "The Beach" was filmed. Although I heard a few weeks ago that place is getting shut down for Eco reasons (Small PhiPhi (Sp?). I've heard Ping Pong in some corners of Phuket can be fun lol

Couple of surfbard rental places South end of Kuta Beach next to "Mama's" Restauraunt where you can get some epic green curry while watching the waves

A few waves from my trip

Yeah it's tough when it comes to surfing trip, Bali and surfing just go hand in hand.

However, I was mentioning the other day that there's more and more people coming to Bali every day and they all want to try out surfing, unfortunately with the oceans filling up with people, there are only so many waves.

So maybe if we get the word out about Thailand being a great place for beginners, we could thin out the crowd here in Bali which would e fantastic.
