Jas, Jas, Jas,
The Golden Rule has been broken.
A couple of things need to be cleared up:-
1. It is Xmas holidays.
2. There has been no waves on the Points for quite a while.
3. Every man and his dog want a wave.
4. Every idiot and his brother are around thinking they are able to surf.

Where is the Golden rule that you have broken my dear Sunshine Coast friend?

right in front of your surf hungry eyes it is, isn't it.

That is right, you know what I am saying don't you.

DO NOT GO NEAR THE POINTS UNTIL AT LEAST FEBRUARY.

That way, you will not get angry. You will not get sore ankles and you will not swear.

You know it is true. I will not be breaking the GOLDEN RULE.

It is not worth it.

Please remember this.

ET.

You probably should have called him off before he paddled in. Doing this lets the drop in know your there . If he still drops in after that then you are within your rights to call him on it. How you do it is up to you.

This manoeuvre, when performed correctly, is one of the greatest sights in modern surfing.

i heard of a story a few years ago at one of the more crowded spots on the goldie were a guy flicked his board at another bloke, who was in the wrong- he lost an eye.

an eye for a drop in is a big price to pay

I told a dude off yesterday (in a polite way ) after he ran me over. He was so far on the shoulder and had plenty of room to avoid me. It was almost like he tried his best to hit me. He reply was just attitude....No apology nothing from him so I just let fly and called him a kook, dickhead etc and told him to go in. I am normally very mild mannered person and have never done that in the surf before (in 30 years of surfing). It didnt make me feel good at all but something about his attitude just sent me into a rage. I lost it and in hindsight with an attitude like that he needed someone to pull him into line.
I don't like arguing while doing something that is meant to relax me though (surfing).!!

even more reason to ride a longboard, nice rounded noses. That accident was more than likely a shortboard haha

You tend to learn a bit of crowd control growing up surfing Triggs Point
