I purchased a fantastic wetsuit only for it give one hell of a hives type rash, yes too much information but I even have a welt where the chest zip is on my chest, any ideas how I can soak the suit to stop this happening again,I've had the odd rash from time to time with other suites from seam rub but this is one crazy mother rash,on bills and cream atm and it is clearing up but I'm not wearing the new wetsuit anytime soon I would rather freeze than go though three days of pain

It's not the wetsuit, its those blasted mctavish boards. Ring mctavish headquarters and find out what they recommend for mctavishaddictativitis

Thats what you get for wearing a wettie in Queensland bro...whats the water a chilly 22 degrees...mind you with all the weight you have lost and the fact that your blood no longer contains 48.7% rum means you may be feeling the cold a bit more

I believe its the Indonesian hookers that bring on the rash, not the wettie. But good try.

In all honesty though it may need to be washed in some sort of neutral cleaning solution. When I lived in Canda we did a lot backcountry skiing. Anyways to cut a long story short we went on a 4 day backountry trip and a buddy bought a new merino wool shirt and didnt wash it before leaving. We warned him to wash it. Well 4 days of sweating in a new merino wool shirt made in Sri Lanks cost him a 3 month rash, no good.

Surely crutch rash would be better than arse rash surely. Mac?
Seriously contact the manufacturer and ask them......why the fark does your wetty make me look like I have herpes. And to think I always thought rubber stopped you getting rashes and nasties

Did you get the right sized wetsuit? If its too big and moving around they can irritate..

Mac, you haven't been in very close or intimate contact with any strange SUP riders of late have you?

Oh, I beg your pardon, that's redundant, I meant to say "any SUP riders" (they're all strange aren't they)?
