it happened. out I want at snapper rainbow. manage to negate a dozen heart in the mouth misses.

then my personal fav happens- a out of control long boarder board hits me. 4" cut in my wettie and a 10" red mark across my shoulder which is going to be sore tomorrow.

honestly there were a lot of long boarders out there that shouldn't be. complaints about 666's, but most of them stay wide. theses guys were right in the thick of it causing havoc- drop in over the falls being a common theme

rant over

hang on. mac unless its tiny i'm not surfing there.

got waves later at Tugun/ balinga BY MYSELF just in case my shoulder pulls up sh1te tomorrow

not a bad idea, but im suppose to be racing tomorrow

im not against lb's, but I think the idea of getting a long board to learn on is wrong. especially fronting up to point breaks on them.a lot of board to handle

it would be a better idea to hang out wide or find a less hectic spot and a good board would be a

There is a time and a place for everything . . . . . Putting others in hairy situations because your ego tells you to go play with the cool kids just spoils every ones day .

Hope you pull up ok Lacey

Hope you are ok LL - you see the crowds in Indo these days. No real pecking order controlling things - just loads of absolute idiots with no idea. My fav was earlier in the week on a pretty big day - 6ft with bigger sets and I was duck diving with a bloke 4 meters in front and 2 to the right - not ideal but should not be an issue. Anyway as I come up I am entangled with his board because as the wave came he threw his board sideways at me and bailed - I could not believe it. I had to launch into him - he said sorry but it's not his fault he can not duck dive as his shoulder was injured and prevents him. Plus he was riding a 7'0 high volumes board. Not only did he surf pretty good but he was about 50 and should have known better. Prick. It's not just the beginners sadly LL there are loads of people at all levels behaving poorly these days as the crowds continue to grow

yeah your right, loads of guys on short boards doing stupid stuff too because desperation for waves.

its the lack of regard for others safety that i can't get my head around.

i mean you just can't take off on a wave if there's a bunch of surfers at the bottom of it

I will never surf there again either, unless it's tiny,or to meet crew. So many good places not far from there.

I do agree that's it's just people in general these days. People seem to think they are a bit more important,or their time is more valuable than others.....in saying that we have had nice waves up here...no need to drive

Yeah I don't think I could handle the amount of crew I can imagine were out there, sounds like a surf I had at Cabarita. Just people flying all over the place with little consideration they might fark up & hit you.

So how did you go, did you live through the night...or hold up alright for today at least
