I like the look of the Cog they do too. But you did ask why not . . . I prefer a stronger glass job.

Wavelength - those MCs are nice boards....have ogled them the last few times I have been in his shop. Another board I would like to own one day. That one looks a bargain if that is what you are after. He does nice solid glass jobs so it will last.

LL - I can make you me for less than that I have been thinking about a new board the last few weeks. Really I should make one but I think I might leave this one to the pros. We will be moving in a few months and consequently the garage needs to be kept in reasonable condition - so there is no way I will be allowed to set up for my next back yard effort - compsand backyard special - as there are a few things that I need to get - like a vacuum pump etc - plus all the mess I will create whilst playing around so to keep the lady happy it will have to wait until we are in the new place.

Damn you boys, I was looking on behalf of Lacey . . . but i want it now. (although i won't get it. I am cash-strapped and time rich at the moment and I have three boards I am already neglecting.) This was quite interesting though :

It is a often noted observation on this site that GSI quality is inconsistent. Ya get what ya pay for.

Cheers Mac. That old shot of MC's cutback on the left is a cracker.

And yep, Pete53 has said it nicely Lacey. I reckon your new board might look old a bit more quickly than some others.
(Just as an example, the deck on this: http://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/noosa-heads/surfing/surfboard-7s-cog-6-9/1033929641)

Lacey - go down Primitive / Diverse they have a couple of these in stock at various sizes. (disclaimer not a pimp I saw them in there the other day when picking up a repair) Not far to add to your power walk course.

I liked the look of them but reluctant about build quality.

FFS has Mac taught u nothing.... He would never ask should I buy a board, he just says yes, what color....

But build quality is the issue, GSI are a bit hit and miss, I have mates that have had them and held up fine but have seen others that have fallen apart..

Looks like a nice board though...anyone know who designs them?

I'd like to have a go on one of these shop.surfindustries.com/us/surfboard-type/shortboards/
