What will be interesting is how hard Alan Jones goes on him in the morning. He loves to go hard when it suits him. Other times he is a soft touch. I imagine he will ask him a few toughies but will try and focus on the redemption theme. It's a shame Ray Haddley is not doing it - he was very pissed off with MP at the time.

Nice PR stunt I imagine. A shame. Love to see someone give it to him good and proper.

Escaping the media for a month to some rehab clinic WTF. 12+ hours on the drink = idiot behaviour for some.
Pearce has no problem whatsoever with alcohol.
He just had too much too drink and we know the end result.
It makes my blood boil when they play the sympathy card. 1/2 season ban and $100 k fine + 100 hours of community service.

Community service at the local dog pound to desensitise the affection for small fluffy dogs. He's been allocated the pit bull cages

You be the judge. Legality is one issue - but lets not forget what he did or who it was sold it to (are those parties not media partners of the NRL?) - or those parties that are actually doing it. Imagine if mobile phones with recording devices had been around when others were involved in related sports. Clearly a soft touch was taken. Nice to say that there was no excuse to be taken - but in reality he has been let off nicely. Yes grog can destroy people. We have all seen it. But not once did he really ask a hard question......not surprised as it was what I expected. Poor interview - he is capable of so much more. Hit some good points but could have delved deeper. AJ is a great commentator and chaser of the hard facts when he wants to be. He also has an ability (and responsibility) to hit his audience. Wish he was more consistent. Surely there was an opportunity to drive some hard facts home - not sugar coat them and blame others (who also had done the wrong thing - but as my mum always said - 2 wrongs do not make a right). We have all done things we wish we had not - but some have done them more than others and have had ample teachings on why this type of behaviour is not a good look. Slow learners. Its about time the NRL stood up and made some harsh and unlikeable decisions to benefit the game / product in the long run. Alliances and support are one thing - but repeated idiotic behaviour - and condoning it - is a terrible look. Go hard and reap the benefits later I say. If the NRL wonder why they do not get the corporate support they think they deserve - just look at this one example of why (could add another 10 without even trying). Go hard for a change and try and stop peoples poor behaviour rather than endorse it with a slap on the wrist. Its not worked the last 50 times so why think it will work now?

Pi55es me off how the Stars get another chance or more.
A fringe player would have been cut in an instant to free up some cap space. NRL players are a bunch of uneducated dopes compared to other codes.

Too be honest I'm over it..

Who gives a **** about Mitchell, the media attention in the end just fuels the how important am I complex that most of these ****s have...

Fine him, sack him whatever just do it...
In the end he is 26 year old that made a complete twat of himself on the piss.

Who here could say they haven't done that...

What about SKDs reputation the media should spend sometime repairing that after the piles of **** they threw at him before he was even in court...
