I surfed Nth Avalon today, never even bothered to look at the Dee Why to Longy stretch.

I guess when I see my homies tomorrow at the bakehouse, someone will know someone who knows something or other about someone.

Seb from Soul Surf is usually up to speed on most of the gos.

OB, I thought you were going to text me when and where you were going? Bastard......

I surfed Longy Shark Tower between 10am and noon. Got some nice waves, even though it was a bit bumpy and on shore by then. When I got out, the lifesavers chopper was cruising very low and slow.

Didn't see anything in the way of an emergency.

BTW, the Longy Shark Tower is out of commission because you can't really see the water from it now days.

I thought you were crippled for life what are you doing back in the water so soon

Anywho, I may just pop up to north Avalon again in the morning.

There's a nice vibe up there and I've really got the sh!ts about our short-arsed friend and his stinking crotch fruit back at longy.

Nope, not crippled..... Just need to be careful. Let me know in the morning what time you're heading up, I may be able to get off the nest in time

As for the stinker, just have to let it go. He's not worth the time or the energy.... Either that, or let his tyres down....

Seems strange that the further north you go in that part of Sydney the nicer the feeling in the water amongst the crowd. I don't like DY at all but always liked Curly.

I used to frequent that piece of beach a lot.....some would call 'The Pole" a secret spot even if they were from over east Some will be hoping it will bring lesser crowds tom - we used to surf there with 4 or 5 others whilst at Longie 200m north there were 50 on a peak and 200m south at DW there were 75. Go figure.....a mate of mine was out diving and apparently he got touched up this morning by a beast not far from the location and lost a big fish he had speared - not the first time either.......I am happy no one got hurt and will leave it there.

Just a torn medial ligament in the left knee due to an awkward wipe out a few weeks ago. I'm supposed to rest it, but resting it causes it to lock up. Surfing loosens it up and it feels better....... Until later, when it feels worse

The short arsed bloke OB was talking about was a perfect turd in the surf, dropping in, snaking and in general being an ass. When asked politely to refrain from being said "ass", he let fly with all kinds of profanity and beat his chest telling us we were soft and old and should piss off. All that in itself is not really par for Longy, usually most of the blokes are cool, friendly and share. This bloke however was none of these. The worst thing however was that he was out surfing with his young teenage kids, who obviously were learning everything from him. I fel story for the fact that one day, one of his kids will pull a similar stunt and end up on the wrong side of a left hook.

So thats the gos Mac........
