Q. to you mid-lengthers out there.
have any of you guys every run nubsters in you Mid length quads.
just wanting some feedback.
I've never used one in a shorty,,,prob over kill i would think.
but in a quad mid could be a different beast.

ran a couple as stabilisers (outside rail) on my 6'10" 2+1, realativery pointless exercise, but had to try

other than that IVe run one as a central stabiliser on my 6'6" JS kingpin set up as a quad for when it's a bit fuller to get a little more drive (works well) and again on the quad with large twin sides and dual nubster rears was a heap of fun for when it's smaller.

<div>how well they would go would depend hugely on tail area and plug positioning. I.e. - closer to the rail or closer to the stringer.

definately help with a little more drive if it's flat or full when used as a 5th with a quad set up.

Yes they are for some waves.

I generally surf my boards as quads. When it's fat, small or hollow I love them.

When it's a-frames and a slower wave,or more a wave where you need to be in the pocket.....it's straight back to three fins.

Wider tail boards with a deep concave,it's four fins straight up.

Nubsters I'm not sure........still I'm not convinced. Some surfs they seem great, others I'm just meh.
I prefer the little shapers one over my red Kelly one.
