May head to Maldives (Pasta point) this season and wondering if anyone knows what the max length of board that is accepted by Singapore Airlines?

maybe have a look on here a bit more

www.singaporeair.com/en_UK/au/travel-info/baggage/non-standard-baggage/

although it doesn't say anything about sizes under surfboards - you can take canoes though!!

A 9'6 can fold in half to become a manageable 4'9. Easy!
LoL - we're laughing at my expense on a different thread!

You can take a 9'1. In fact other guys had 9'3 and 9'4. I'm pretty sure one of the guys even had a 9'6 or 9'8...

Advice - pad out your bag... put the board into bubble wrap... or take a tufflite...
Pad out the nose & tail... The baggage handlers are "rough". They will pick the board up by the main central handle, and throw it into a compartment... So put heavy padding on the nose & tail. Also put heavy padding on the opposite side of the handle, as they will drop the back onto "things". The rail on the handle side will be safe...

You could always break or snap a board in half and glue it up over there,Simondo is onto something

Thanks Simondo,
I'll probably take a 9:3 with plenty of padding and a repair kit as I have been caught out before.

Fat roll of Grey Duct Tape is also a pretty good interim option... Tape & Go... Instant fix... proper fix for overnight... dinner time fix.

I think I was the only guy with a roll of duct tape. Could have sold it by the centimeter, but I gave it away!

Do not bother.....just take some solarex - there is a yellow tube and a white tube...one is for big issues and one for small....take the big issue one (and a few ice cream sticks) and use sparingly. When you get home you just get the dremmel out and get rid of it and then do a proper repair - makes life lots easier than worrying about resin, hardener & glass.

i wouldn't take any repair kit you'll find locals to fix it and they'll do a better job + you'll give them some coin.
