My Partner tried one and she really enjoyed the way it surfed last time we were up surfing Watago's.

It was a 9'1" so it didnt' really stack up to the 9'6" Redline I was ridding at the time.

I rode the Redline at Watago's - was a bit on-shore with waves in the nipple high - shoulder high region, I'm 195cm and 105kg. I didn't get great conditions (like the day before) but it wasn't too bad.

My comparision boards are a 9'1" (ish - it's been snapped and I think it shrunk a bit) DT (a shaper up north? I got it used) lower rocker board apriciates a fater slower wave. Second is a Steve O'Donnall designed more for surfing the local beach breaks on the Northern Beaches that I'll ride as long as I can paddle it out the back.

For performance I'd say the Redline beat my 9'1" hands down far more responsive simillar rocker and even with the single fin, paddled effortlessly, caught waves really nicely never felt it wanted to pearl catching the wave. Against my 9'4" Perforamce wise I wouldn't really want to try to be doing floaters or really tight turns with the Redline in reality I don't think it's designed for having said that it felt like my 9'4" "mellowed out" was supper responsive but drew the line out more than my board.

I almost got one when we where there (and I still would) but for me it doens't suit the style of wave we tend to get on the Northern Beaches. It seams like it was almost designed in tandum with the Razor ones made as a mellower board and ones ment to be a little more high performance (really too bad the Razon is only listed as 9'1" - 9'2").

My end verdict would be if you want a mellow'ish board and were surfing places simillar to Byron/Watagos than the redline would be great if you need an all arounder maybe not. Mac can correct me if I've mucked anything up as he has one so would have more time on it than I have.

Hope that made sense

Nah all good advice,I dont ride my redline much at all, its one for the cruise day's IMO.
its a real classic model and a keeper for sure.
I cant hit much on it compared to the FB, Razar and Original but thats just MO.Its one sweet ride.
