I had someone close to me die in a shark attack years ago and it still plays with my head. That's the sort of thing that changes a man. I can't believe the nobhead reporter jumps in for the interview. A little empathy and compassion wouldn't go astray.

Dam freaky watching it live. The commentators seemed to almost miss it. I would have been ****ting myself. He seemed so calm and collected amongst it all.

It was interesting to hear Martin Potter say that he did the correct thing and left his board as that was what the shark was after. I did know thats what you should do it that situation.

So glad he is ok. I am would have been on the boat off the jet ski immediately. Must have been pretty scary for Peter Mel and Julian who were also in the water. Heavy

I guess J-Bay tourism just took a big dive.

Imagine what happened to mick fanning going for 5 mins.

His paddled was stuffed from beating it against the shark.

He is still rattled a year ish later
