Hola!

I'm considering buying a 2003/2004 Land Cruiser. I have an 8'6 and a 9'6 longboard, and I'd like to be able to put one or both inside the car, preferably between the front seats, with the back two rows of seats folded down. Is this doable?

Tired of roof racks, straps, yada yada. Want a vehicle a can fit 2-3 boards in with no fuss.

I have that model Landcruiser and you won't have a problem. I lay the rear seats down flat and recline the front passenger seat and can fit my 10 footer and 9 footer in at the same time.

My Nissan Xtrail 2013 model fits a 10ft board & at least 3 shortboards easily. An 8'6 & 9'6 would also fit easily...but you would not fit a passenger coz the boards are crossing into the passenger seat area. Nissan's are generally cheaper than Toyota's, but if your not worried about petrol $, you can't beat the good old Toyota troop carrier for space

Diesel troopy, struggling to remember but I think it got 9l / 100km, never tried to put a board inside, but would take a 12'6" easily I think. Not fast. Turbo diesel was closer to 12l / 100km.
Holds 180 litres, so you can go a long way. or choose to fill up when cheap.
Current ride VW carrevelle fits 11' with the passenger seat laid back. 8 l/100km but engine implosion at 99,100 km expensive.
You could fit any number of shorter boards behind the front seats.
And live in it!
