Does anyone use the leggies that go around your knee? Do they really stay untangled when you walk the board, moreso on the walk back? What brand is it. Sadly on the gold coast nobody seems to sell them.

Just asking as i have resorted to placing mine under my chest and picking it up on the pop up. Works great....or **** has gone wrong rather quickly.

Just become a hipster and you will not need one. Problem solved

Never used one so really I have nothing to add to this thread. But google it and you can find some gold

Leash selection. One of the best longboard tips you will ever hear has to do with leash selection and the choice of whether or not to wear a leash. Ideally, in classic longboarding, it is best to not wear a leash at all. Going leash-less not only looks classically cool, it also frees up your feet to cross-step and go switch without getting tangled. If you must use a leash but still want the freedom to walk the board, it is best to purchase a longboard leash that attaches to your upper calf. Calf leashes free up the rider’s feet, which makes it easy to move around on the board. Beginners should always wear a leash. Remember, the leash must always be longer than the board you are riding, and leashes are always fastened to the back foot.

Knee ropes dont tend to trip you up..and keep it away from your feet, I use mine even when on the shorter boards for the same reason.

There are many to choose from..I use O & E.

chrispy im using one on my hotlog. not ideal but way better then a ankle setup for cross stepping.

i still get tangled and restricted. sometimes i can just step out of it.

i think its about keeping the leash clear/or in the right place when catching a wave.

its frustrating blowing waves sometimes tho. i would say an average of one in five waves tripped up

cheers

I have one on my 9'4.

Yes probably less tangles but I don't like it as the leverage on the leg coming from just below the knee makes it fee unstable in a wipeout.

I'll swap you if you like Karate Man.

When I bought my Diverse, it had one on it. So I just got used to it. It seems to be better in a wipe out. As for being less tangly, I don't know really. On my Wayne Deane, I have an ankle set up. I think I just prefer the knee because I dont have to bend over so far to put it on.

This is a handy thing when OB is around......

It must be Vanders sending you the flowers with my name on the card!

Ted, when I get hit with a big one having the rope around the calf gives me a stronger leverage point. If you know it's going to try to rip your leg off, you can bend your knee and ad the weight takes up, slowly straighten it out to alleviate some of the shock. If it's on the ankle it's a bit less leverage, so can cause more damage to your knee or ankle.

At least that's my take on it from my own experience.

Ted, when Obct wants to hit me with his big one he ties the rope around my calf, this gives him a stronger leverage point. If you know it's going to hurt you can bend your knee and take it slowly, I then straighten my back out to alleviate some of the shock. If it's on the ankle it's a bit less leverage, so can cause more damage........

At least that's my take on it from my own experience with OBCT.

fixed it for ya buddy.
