Every time I go to noosa there is the same guy there who never looks inside over his left shoulder when paddling for a wave and drops in indiscriminately .........is that a similar thing????
I hear ya Horto......this morning was the busiest I had seen my semi-secret local spot ever......I decided against it and went for a bike ride, hung with the Misses and then went for a snorkel with her. Brownie points all round.....the neighbours tell me there were a lot of people doing exactly what you just described this morning and it drove them mad. I went for a paddle this arvo at 4:30pm and surfed with my 2 neighbours and two others in beautiful fun waves.....seems everyone has finally left the island and headed back to work..........thank farrrrk for that. One of the downsides of living in a popular holiday location is that its really busy several times a year.....but the rest of the time its heaven.
On a lighter note - that is a great pic and some super style there........love to get a turn like that captured one day - early morning with a back light wave would be insane.
And Ted, Sounds like a good choice......i am unfortunately usually one of the poor smucks "leaving the island back to work". Living nearly an hour away from the surf I very rarely get to sample the late arvo session
I hear ya Horto - I lived in London for 5 years - and that was a long way from the beach!!! At least you are still getting to go to the beach........where do you normally surf?
Being an hour from both sunnie coat and the Gold Coast I can head either way which i guess is one of the pluses of living this far away, free to choose whatever is looking the goods .......but tend to head to sunnie coast kawana, kings, Alex or noosa, just depends on wind swell combo
Umm so I now have a fairly reasonable idea where you reside! Those Queensland Points are heaven - its just a shame about the dam crowds. Still its a lovely place to visit. I love Nossa - its a great 4 day mid winter escape for us most years.
