Had a real **** year and could use some time out...

i know some of you have been to hawaii , where did you go/stay? was it cool or just hype? thinking later this year time wise.. what do you think?

Mate I was thinking the same thing only an hour ago.Went in 07 and loved to place.
Was there for three weeks did some island hopping to see the real Hawaii Stayed on Kauai hired a car what an amazing island stayed at the Priceville had a surf at Pine Trees. Kauai 25 min up and down flight too easy.

Stayed in Waikiki at The Outrigger on the Beach has Dukes bar underneath,board racks were you lock your boards up,hired boards from Kona Board Sports unreal place.
Popular's ,Canoe's fun waves.

Great time to go with the Aus$ on par.

I really want to go myself and have been doing loads of research and talking to heaps of people who have been and if it was me I would be heading over in Feb / March for the late season swells on the north side minus the crowds.......still busy but they say lots of spots and most people have had their fill and the pro circus has left town.

I would be making Kilauea volcano park my second highest priority after a few waves on the north shore - good spot for you Aussies as no active Volcanoes here! Sadly
