I've got no idea well very little anyway.

I've found a set of wheels 2 perfect 2 damaged the guy at first said he has no idea if they can be repaired then in his second email says he and family have been in the tire/wheel industry for 20 years WTF I said to myself. Asking for more info one one of the damaged wheels I also said I have mate who will swing bye and inspect the wheels,he said oh I have a better option for you,I just remembered I have another wheel in my SA store sorry if I'm confusing you.

I'm starting to smell a rat or is this standard seller suff?

What sort of wheels?

Like anything if your gut is telling you there might be an issue I would be keeping well away - caveat emptor should be your gliding light on a second hand anything.

Mags can be dodgy to repair. They don't bend, they crack.

Steel rims are no worries to fix.

I don't know why you are chasing new wheels .

Yep agree,but they are just gutter rubs easy fix one looked bad but we have another,I'll sleep on it.

Ok I am finally getting it now. Mac has poor parallel parking technique and has damaged his rims and wants some new ones

I am a seasoned gumtreer and have found some weird cats but it all seems to work out in the end.

Mac you have a very nice car. But getting the wheels like the top of the line model doesnt cut it and you wont be happy.
Ive seen people do this. Try to make their car the next modell up.
Doesnt work because they know its still not it.

Long story short,he had a car which he sold and some how had 4 the same rims (very hard ) to find,one was damaged he then came back saying he has another one.I said I'd buy them at an agreed price once I sited all 4 in Sydney,I looked up his ad' yesterday it was gone so a google search showed goods sold,so I text him he replired saying he sold them the night before,now the figure he told me was well over his asking price for the undamaged rims so he is saying someone purchased the damaged rims for 1.5 times his asking price,I smell a rat,thanks for the advice, it was fun.

As a bit of fun Mac and to prove Mchenrys point,next time you have say an old mattress or lounge you want gone put it on Gumtree for free.. And just be entertained by it all. We did it when we moved and geez reality TV had nothing on it.
I started to look for more stuff to give away as I was enjoying it so much.
