Greetings all, I am going to coolangatta in October. will be staying near snapper and kirra.

If anyone can give me a heads up on where I can escape the crowds at this time of year it would be gladly appreciated. I am not probing for mystical secret spots more just a bit of a guide on other options. Will have a car and have been over a few times but never in October.
Last year went in august and scored snapper/kirra pretty good in the august swells.

What wetties will be required in October, will I get away with boardies? springy?

From all the forum posts it looks like theres a bit of man in grey suit/bag of teeth activity over there atm. is this getting better or worse coming into October?

Cheers fellas, I would of posted in the shortboard room but I know most of the fellas in here are in queensland,

Well its October here atm currently surfing in boardies and being soft a 2mm jacket. No escaping the crowds unfortunately best to get in early like most places.Sharks are not an issue here atm but just around the corner south they are but have slowed on the attack front but still heaps of sightings. There are no secret spots on the gold coast.
