What is the opinion on commando surfing, tried it out last time and severely bruised the plumbs. Walking like a cowboy for two weeks. Your thoughts?

Commando is very dangerous...if you loose your shorts its a long walk home with very red face.........

I always go commando....sometimes a bit of vase is required if you are surfing 3 times a day but otherwise its all fine and dandy - get into it i say!

Watch out for velcro on the boardies though - that's all I will say..., cause I haven't met a girl that will rub some lotion on some very scratched up private parts without p!ssing themselves laughing...hahah

The RIpcurl stretchie boardies with no velcro and a "privacy panel" are the way to go I reckon....

will always wear sluggos under the boardies,better than sitting on your nuts
phantoms are the best plus i only go commando when i go out clubbing

Mate I would never go commando this time of year as I have had the Very painful pleasure of getting a blue bottle go up my boardies Not cool.
Besides that board rash on the inside of your thigh after a few hours in the water sux.

Lately I have been wearing these under shorts made by Xcel, They are made from bamboo, come down to just above the knee, light as and dry in minutes. Mate these under the boardies are the bomb. No more blue bottles and no more board rash. YEEEWWWW!!

Early last summer I was suffering the inner thigh rash from surf sessions as well and I used skins as well, this year, no problem. NFI what the difference is?
