I don't want to sound harsh but it needs to be said. Pup harden up fella and just enjoy the good folk. Life's too short to let a little poke here and there upset ya.

Honestly i think forums get taken too seriously. I agree its not nice the negative cr-p and i would prefer it would go but sadly people are people and mostly not friendly to everyone. But having said that if everyone complied and played lovey dovey it would be a boring world.

I personally am rather jealous of the connection the LB guys on the East coast seem to have. Mates to surf with and enjoy our sport. WA just seems to be all about attacking each other and winging about sharing[}:)]

I feel like a mediator, rather than moderator.

Many PM's have been exchanged between lots of people over this .. amazing how "getting along" in cyberspace can be so difficult sometimes.

There have been tweaks to the thumbs, and I've asked a number of characters in here to stop being petty, and make an effort to get along.

With internet forums, interpretation is as much about the "stories you tell yourself" when you read something, and how you interpret what's written ... rather than the intent & meaning of what the author wrote.

Often there can be a canyon between the two meanings, so go easy...

And remember .. this forum is where you share the stoke of longboarding...

How I see it buddy, you can't please everyone in the world. And you shouldn't need to. As soon as you learn to not give a flying f*** about what others think and do as you will, things have a way of seeming brighter. Little remarks now have no meaning and simply fall off your back as they should. And after all they should because all it is is simply writing on a forum. Not like someone has taken a 9 inch single fin and is slowly wrenching it into your back

I remember the hub bub about the thumbs, we had me we didn't then we did again. Can't say I pay much attention to them, bit like some of the blokes in the general section.

Edit - just realized how many posts Pup had, bloody hell mate how'd you rack that up so fast.

We've been down this road before.
The thing is, I like Pup and Doggie and I am sure they know it.
What I would like to know is does Pup give as good as Doggie in the PM
department ?
I guess only Laurie,Green Pat,etc can answer that.
I have never had a run in with anybody on here except a few ALP supporters in the gen so I wonder why are these 2 different.
Edit: If Pup doesn't give as good as he gets then Doggie why do you continue to give Pup a hard time ?

Well Pup if you are lurking now and I reckon you will cause you love this forum so much. I would like to say every time I saw those red thumbs on your posts I would think farkwitz. Its easy on the net for a bully to sit back and chuckle to themselves as they do it, its not reality. I bet you the same bloke wouldnt walk up to a table of blokes at the pub single one out and start on him they are cowards mate. I think the best way to defeat cowards like this is to just step over them and march on.

P.S Loz, there are no problems with red thumbs nor the people that press them. The problem lies with those sensitive enough to be offended by them.

If you've made It this far in life you'll know that you do not like everybody, nor does everybody like you. This is even looser when it comes to opinions. Honeslty, i get quite a few reds, could not give a flying funk. You shouldn't either.
