Nothing is going to change. The alley is the same.

Actually the last two years have gone up another gear with these flipping bootcamps taking up a lot of carparking.

So you just have to adapt. The afternoon unexpected glass off. The rainy day. Mid week morning/midday/ afternoon sneaky session etc etc


And get yourself a log. They are must to keep the sanity

Noosa on the weekend what a pain in the arse. Nice waves available and yet another contest at First Point.

Crowds at those spots are nothing new. things will only get worse. Deal with it or move. No other choices really unfortunately

I forgot, now where to park and over zealous parking officers,and the coffee is $5

Sucked in...thats what you get for having beautiful waves on white wand beaches in warm water...if you want no crowds you have to but up with the cold, rock and cliff beaches, freezing offshores and the occasional icey patch in the carpark

I'm cold just reading the above.

Maybe its just me, but I went to Byron a few years ago, in May and the pass would be packed and I surfed in front of Clarkes with 4 people.
Have to be adaptable boys and girls, it's only going to get worse.

I have a solution to the Pass. I'm sure it will be laughed at but I'll post it anyway.

The Pass home of the long right hand point break,home to hipsters,blowins and the
pack packer.

Place a floating marker straight out the front of the stairs from that carpark,the guys surfing
out the back can ride to this marker and must then exit the wave and paddle back out,place
another marker another third down the beach towards Clarkes then the guys surfing the second
take off zone must exit and paddle back to take off zone 2,place another right down on Clarks
for the learners and pack packers,have a rule is you can't standup you can only surf at take off
zone 3.

Same wave 3 different take off zones which spreads the pack out.


OK it will never happen but just an idea,still laughing

Nah Alley is crap, no need to pull off the highway all roads lead to Cooly.

I'm fortunate as I cover Lismore / Ballina for work and surf the Pass mid-week before & after work.

Maybe Bigspazz or Life guards
