Don't worry Weiry, these are an easy repair.

First up. You can't do anything if the area is wet, you need to dry it out completely, if it's small enough just put your mouth over the crack and suck. Don't worry about the taste remember, it's been in the water a long time and close to a lot of sea life.

If the crack is really big you may need a machine to suck it out, I believe there's some specialised equipment sold in Amsterdam that will do the trick.

Next you will need to clean that crack out, your fingers are best for this but don't be too rough or you'll damage something. Just go gently at first with one finger then work you way up. You may even find that you'll need to get your whole fist in there but once again, remember to go very slowly.

You'll know when you've cleaned it enough because it will start to make a funny noise.

You're probably now ready to put the filler in there but before you do, make sure you don't need some hardener. Usually you'll find that by this time there's already enough hardener and you won't need much more.

Once again, you've got to go pretty slow with the filler to start with but you can start to speed up as you gradually get more in there.

Occasionally you'll have a problem with the filler going off far too soon, this is bad and must be avoided at all costs, if you think is about to happen, start thinking about guys riding SUPs, that usually does the trick for most longboarders. If you're already a SUP rider, try thinking about girls, that should stop it going off.

Just keep on pumping the filler in there until you see it start to run out the sides, this is a good sign that you've pumped enough in there and it's time to finish up.

The finishing can be done one of two ways, either use your hand to keep smoothing the area over, whilst keeping a firm but gentle hold around the board or, use the uniquely Australian method of just cleaning you tools on the drapes, grabbing a beer and going in the other room to watch the footy.

I hope this helps.

I've had my morning session at Winki. I'm on top of my work. Think I might crack a brew shortly!

I even got breath tested on the way back from the surf. 11am. Told him, "mate it's a bit early in the day to pull that out!". He said, "you'd be surprised". But it is schoolie's time of year.... Probably making sure the kids 0.00.

Not to worry, admittedly some of the joke is lost but put into perspective,

this are the interwebs,

Words are disposable and nothing should be taken seriously,

Besides that, all us regulars got to have a chuckle while it was still up.

Trust me, I am pissing my pants as I'm making up that stuff.

Speaking of Amsterdam and some of their strange shops, have you ever seen a stand up called Jim Jeffries doing his Mintys comedian of the month 2007 routine?

I swear it's the funniest and the filthiest stand up I've ever seen.

It's so bad I'm not even going to post the link just in case this whole thread gets canned, along with me.

Just copy and paste this into google

jim jeffries youtube

It will be the first one up.
