Good to hear the bonzer is still getting some use Chrispy, saw it in the back ground and wondered if you were still surfing it.

Mac - thought you only just got a Roscoe Hardtail? Did you exchange it for the full suspension upgrade?

Yes mate they gave me a total refund for the upgrade which I had ridden 3 times unbelievable service from these guys I was blown away. They have a warranty system, no matter what you buy extras you can get a refund 4 weeks after purchase if not happy amazing

That is good service. It's hard to know what sort of MTB to get until you have done a fair few rides. I'm riding a 2019 Scott Scale 980 29?r HT. Owing to an existing lower back injury I avoid the really gnarly stuff - but love the single track, fire roads, and some green and blue trails... it's a great alternative for when the surf is poo.... get's the heart rate up and some thrills along the way.

Enjoy.

love them mac. great set up mate, call siri ,answer calls hangup with a touch brilliant , tunes, press one ear plug for mute and here someone talk without taking them out.can be submerged without stuffing them.
comfortable, 10hour play, the Box works as a power source , if flat 10 min in the box will give you 1 hour of play.
best part sound is great with a good bass.

Has the fat bike fad come back like the yoyo?

They were a cool thing for a while here, and like a lot of cool **** on the goldy it quickly vanished.

There were so many around my way and then gooone . See one every now and then....in saying that we have some good bike ways and the beach ride is not really needed
They do look bad ass though

The fat bike fad stopped about 3 years ago going by some like trek giant Scott, all others still making them but not as many models, + in Australia we are only given so many bikes. Not many Aussie bike left now.
we have a new coast bike walk track now 26k one way, The beach is why i wanted one, bigger tides mean hard dry sand on the incoming tides. Btw Chrispy I'm not a trend setter of follower.

Mate I'm old school I use the phone to make calls ( not many) so I like to just ride and let the bike tell me what I've done.
It tells you how many k's,average speed and cals burnt. Oh yeah I like it.

Is that the Trek Fuel Macaha? Full sus easier on the body
Cranking out some k's and feel good.
Those cycle computers are good.
I used to use map my ride and ok straight tracks but if your doing twisty singletrack they aren't accurate.
I did a race and the loop on mmr was about a k short on 14km distance when compared to wheel sensor computer.

Cheers for thAt info mate..
ive got map my ride , had the same setup when I was paddling.
i was wondering why my pace average was the same as the other day, had a good headwind and pumped it home on the down wind , the splits showed it but My average didn't change.I thought maybe because I was in and out of trees the gps would record On average.

I'm thinking of adding them due to early rides and peddling on a busy track.

Awesome Cobra great to see your bike fully built. Those big tyres must be awesome on the sand. Easy enough to buy a wheel sensor, I think it is "ant +"?

Hey Mac I do use lights. What Cobra showed looks good and bell would be handy with people walking or running.
Woodhill bike park in Auckland is open late on Wednesday (when they reopen) for night riding. It's the only activity I do that the family knows I'm riding and not dependent on swell, wind or tide.
In the forest I use 2100 lumen light mounted on helmet so you see where you look. I did try my older 900 lumen light on the handle bars once.
If I'm just doing a local training ride from home on the road for 1km to park then I use the flashing mode, which I notice the roadies use on their skinny tyres and curly handlebar bikes so cars see you.

Legs are bit sore after good ride yesterday. Looking like swell coming but couple of days before offshore wind

I thought having a bell was a legal requirement? Pretty sure it is in NSW.
