Still not 100% confident jumping to my feet so I borrowed a 11' Laird Pearson Arrow 666 today and got it out in knee hight lefts inside a break wall at a local river mouth. After a bit of falling off and kookery I started getting waves and had a ball. It was my third time in the surf on one of these but to be trimming along on those little lefts after not being able to surf properly for 2 years felt unreal. Got the idea of getting one of these off Boofy who also has one. Now I'll have to get one. Pretty sure after a bit of time on this I should be right to get back out on the longboard again.
Cheers Boof.

Yeah I'm stoked. I like that style of board and want to surf it like a longboard. Did a little bit of cross stepping today but the board felt huge. Back into it full time now. I can put the bellyboard away for a while. Still buzzing.

I'm on dayshift Ted Fri to Sunday then nightshift Monday and tuesday night then an 8 day break so I'll have 10 full days to get into it. Heading down Ulladulla way next week for a day trip but waiting to see how the forecast goes and pick the right day.
