Grom man I always believed that people.should always.walk.on the left unless overtaking, just like a car. Am I correct in thinking this,or am I being mean to people when I unload abuse and shoulder charges for their stupidity

Yeah, fair call...
Similar for an escalator, stationary on left, overtake walk on right...

Extra to this, if I'm walking the dog and little kids are on bikes on footpath, I'll go onto the grass to let them through... No matter if the approaching from the front or back... (cops don't charge young kids for riding on the footpath! Down our way, the cops are very sensible actually... Young Guys get their cars bogged in the sand at night down at the boat ramp. Cops just ring up the guy with the tractor keys, so they can get out...)

Further to my original question. When couples are walking together and I see walking towards us, I will always step behind my girl and expect the same. When I can see people not reciprocate I step to the side and shoulder charge., I do apologise and say sorry I'm important and did not see you there. Is this wrong?

Also I think people on mountain bikes should cruise on the grass when approaching pedestrians instead of hogging the path, its not like I'm aasking them to climb a mountain,am I petty?

I like this thread - lets make it like the AskCarroll thread on realsurf

Hey Simondo - how do you then feel about this issue when you are in a country that drives on the right side of the road - so they like to do things in reverse to what we are used to down in the world of the Antipodeans?

And what about driving on the other side of the road - how long does it take you to adjust and feel comfortable ?

Totally agree on both footpath and escalators.
What pisses me off is when turning left at traffic lights and some ****/s pedestrian/s decides to cross the road well after the Don't Walk sign comes on.
I know deep down it would be wrong to run then down but fark I feel like it.

Why do blue tints / boards look better?

I walk on the right sometimes intentionally just to annoy people

Dam good question. Maybe in the water its because of the contrasting colours of both the water and the sky ? Blue boards do look good both in and out of the water though - Perhaps its because people generally like blue - like how Tony always wears a blue tie .

Look I am not sure.......good question though. This thread is showing loads of potential already.

Clearly this issue has many different varieties, only today I was walking down the rows of the local supermarket keeping left and old mate comes straight at me clearly on the right hand side, I just stopped and looked at him till he moved out of the way, sheeesh. Simondo we await your wisdom on this divisive issue.

My take on the supermarket aisle is, to keep left if possible but be on the lookout from all directions as shelves on both sides.

Simondo you are the first person to answer your own posts. So why when people seek your advice you cannot respond to us?

I think he should have lost it already....so I am going to say NO but stand to be corrected by the real Simondo when he makes it back to this thread. He is an AFL aficionado
