Although the Islands are the ancestral home of surfing, for me, I've always considered that the west coast was the lifestyle home of modern surfing and I would love to go there some day.

Maybe not so much now.

Yes RIP indeed. What a terrible outcome.

Makes me wonder about local water safety after heavy rainfall, especially in rural areas where a lot of fertiliser and pesticides are used.

I wonder if the local councils on the coast do a water safety audit every whenever ?
