And I'm ashamed to say I knew nothing of him.
This morning, the Sydney Morning Herald published an obituary of Ross Renwick, a surfer from the northern beaches.
Despite his business successes, it sounds as if he maintained the stoke throughout his life.

Thanks for posting obct - that was a great read (although not for great reasons sadly). He obviously lived a very interesting life - would loved to have attended a few of his Palm Beach parties - by the sound of it they would have been unreal!!

Yes sad to hear it but a new surfing legend to be has just enter the world. Isn't that right OBCT?
