The surf isnt exactly pumping in these pics but its definately worth a trip. Plenty of empty beachies around Winter time. Crescent isnt a secret so....

That was taken on a small NE swell and there were some nice lefts down the beach that day. it got better when the tide came up.

Yes it is a good spot to go in Winter. The point can get busy but if you hit it at lunchtime it can be a lot less crowded and the back beaches are often empty mid week. You can get good beach breaks down the beach from the point if it's crowded as well. The dirt road to Plomer can be fair to horrible depending on when it gets graded. I've found the faster you drive over the corrugated bits the better.

Yeah from about now on I reckon is the best time to be up there, good time of the year to be fishing and also the autumn surf conditions. But as you said the back beaches up there are the real bonus, Creso is just so crowded now but midweek is ok. and yeah driving fast is the only way, you just seem to float over them

i got mine new in 97 and after 290,000 ks its still goes really well. I can slide an 11 footer in and the nose is just short of the windscreen. Always been into the fishing as well but a lot of my fish are caught at work of all places.
you've been away from surfing a bit as well Tankchamp . How are you going now ?
