Yeah but you get pretty consistent Winters over there dont you ?
A guy I know surfed in the Aussie longboard titles somewhere over there some years back and was saying he was sitting out in 3-4 foot waves and an 8 foot wave would just steam through and clean everyone up. He didn't feel comfortable over there.

Lol, the old clean up set. Yea that happens, Rotto is the worst out at Strikko's. Surfin 4-6footers them an 8+ft will come through and drill the line up. Funny if you are still in the boat

Hey doggie - have been talking to rune on the phone and he said the WA surf has been really tragic for a while now - I hear also that there may be a WA crew coming over this way in maybe May ? look out

And I have actually been having a bit of fun on the sups and getting a few nice waves in some remote spots. Had a lovely little sesh yesterday on a new 8.10 starboard and other than almost cutting my calf off with a fin I had a blast. (well as much blast as you can have on a sup )

it's bad enough having bugger all swell down here but having to still put up with that farking freezing water thingo is just too much.

I read on coastalwatch today that it extends from Port Maquarie all the way down to Eden

A couple of days of south east winds should bring the water temp back up.
Problem down here now is its flat . I dont like the cold water but if theres waves I can put up with it.

Deja Vu flat and no banks. Beautiful weather though. Lots of Chrissy shopping and stuff to do, so to look on the bright side , if the surf was good I'd be a tad miffed.

The Munoz will catch a wave in not much more that the ripple off a mouse fart but I’m really having to force myself to go out.

The only reason I go out is because I know that a week out of the water will mean 2 weeks trying to get back to the same level of paddle fitness.

Hey mate, I reckon we should do round 2 just before xmas - is that next wk or the one after ? Tom and I got a few this morning at LL but it was a bit full at times and a hell sweep running.

The knee has been put back again as the surgeon wants to try some more aggressive physio before going in - so I am still managing to duck and weave and avoid the knife.

I think tom and I are gunna hit maccas on thurs morning and then breaky down that way.

Good to see things have not changed, surf has picked up a tab over here. One of the boys found dome trouble in the water the other day which led to a full on on the beach including a bench seat scary stuff, till you the whole story when we are on home soil
