Well not you, me,today I dropped in on a few guy's no dramas they were all cool as there was a lot of it going on.

All was good until I dropped in on a guy and flicked off like I did with most of my dropins today.He paddles back out and said the following,don't you look you farrrking kook,going off like no tomorrow I said sorry to keep the peace and he kept going,I see him out all the time he knows people I know,which made it interesting as he was blowing off steam to them about me.

Just whacked this up and again put my head up for chopping to help keep the forum alive,sure is quite without chrispy and a few others who seem to have dropped off.

It was a case of if you didn't drop in you only got half the waves today, re chrispy I've been asked the same question by a few I have no idea who joke race was but I liked him, he said it and didn't hide behind thumbs like some

Yes have surfed on goldy and am amazed at lack of etiquette but on other hand I'm pretty sure that if you didn't drop in you'd never get a wave at most spots along that stretch

You may have a similar situation to what I sometimes find myself in, it's not so much a dropin, more of a " I didn't think you'd make it".

It comes from having a really good paddler, you paddle for everything, even if you're on the shoulder and there's someone on the inside, just because they so often miss if their board has no volume and it's a fullish day.

Very often, I'm right and they do miss, but occasionally I need to kick out in a big hurry.

The funny part about this is that I even kick out when I've been on my feet for a good bit longer than the other guy.

Mac I saw that fella drop in on at least 5-6 people & even laughed about it to his mates, don't sweat it, like you said everyone was doing it & excluding mr blue & white agro bloke nobody really worried about it. heaps of negative comments about that bloke too, some blokes are just wankers full stop!!

And the other part of that can be when the guy inside keeps paddling for waves and missing them, then eventually you just say to yourself well Im going for it, that's usually the one he gets and then you just kick out no harm done.

Surfing last week and dropped in on a young bloke , straight out didn't see him .My fault totally .

Pretty nice head high wave , we both flicked off the back ended up beside each other , put my hand up said sorry , he laughed no worries mate , and we surfed the next hour together .

Speaking of Drop Ins;

It was solid down here all weekend. Surfed Torquay Point this arvo, picked off several nice sets. Might have dropped in a SUP though! Nah, actually, I know I dropped in! But in fairness, I was waiting furtherest out for some big ones, just sitting in my spot, waiting for the biggest ones, and only paddling for the big ones... The SUP rider was darting around like a blowfly, looking for inside ones, etc... Sees some sets looming, so he paddles his guts out to get out the back, and spins around for it, and he's on the inside... I'm thinking, arsehole, I've been waiting here (waiting longest)... He calls me off it after a bit, so I speed checked with a little fade cuttie, to force him to jam on the brakes... He got wasted... I continued.

Im not ace and he is not me. Plus he is bit:ching that he got banned. Why? Once again knob heads that continually post I'l. Informed opinions and slag people off are welcome to post. Yet old ace was so on the mark and gets banned without a warning,very poor form seabreeze. Laurie did you buy a Hyundai on a bro deal and that is how it works. I can give bro deals also,pm me haha

My best wave for July (so far);

My last wave was a beauty today. Big Double Overhead wave, dropped into a very steep face, and laid it onto the rail because I took off deep, and needed to race it, right from take-off (kind of like a miniature version of those Waimea Rail Drops.. dropping in on the rail... set the rail early... you know..). 5 long cut backs later, you need to actually get towards the nose, and work left, to hook up with the shorey zone... Did that, and rode it to the beach... It ends up as about a 400-450m ride. Happy with that one!

Yeah, Torquay Point is kind like a "chicken's" spot. Bells would have been Double Overhead+... Possibly 2.5+ Overhead on the bigger ones.
