Today Chrispy and I went to the heart of the dark side and attended a stand up paddle down wind just to support Lacey.

There were a few eyes looking in our direction,people wanting to now who the fk we were

Now these nut cases had a race from Kirra to North Burleigh in 5 foot swell.I mentioned they were nutters

A few made it shore until a mighty roar came from the strong crowd ( chrispy and I ) as Lacey made it to the beach.

Lacey won his division and yes there were others in his age group matter of fact he smashed them.

The Champion not looking the best ( can't blame him tho )

don't know, finished 9 th overall. but hey, i managed to hold of steve walker and a couple good paddlers behind me. steve has done me before when i've been in front.

i couldn't hold of rowdy, guess i didn't want it that bad to stay ahead.

i tell you what, when my heart assumed its normal position, i looked out at the surf.

the photos aren't showing it but it would have been 5 ft with bigger ones bang on low tide.
