Have a work experience kid here today , poor kid 1 st day and she has just hit the deck , white as ( who am I kidding I love showing them gory stuff and making them sick )

We don't normally take work experience kids after bad experiences in the past .
About the worst was one that was daydreaming while holding a horse resulting in me almost cutting off my little finger . Have had other little pricks argue back when they are told to do things "like open the gate mate , no get f..ked and open it yourself ", not generally worth the stress .

Shame I have great memories of my own work experience in grade 10 .

Hard love is good love sometimes - good on you for taking the lass on mate , she's got to find out if it's her vocation in life the real way I reckon

Trouble is pup they spend a week here with us doing what they think they want to do .if they love the job that's great . If they discover they don't like that then what they really should have 3or 4 weeks at 3 or 4 different jobs to give them an idea what they want .

and that should probably be over the last two years of high school - staged process sort of thing
well I hope this lass gets something good out of her limited time , it's going to be harder and harder on the coming generations to get full-time jobs

I did my work experience at a Surf board maker, Bruce Montgomery. Found out i hated getting covered in crap and fumes

I had one here at work a while ago that couldn't make a cup of coffee. Honestly he didn't even understand boiling a kettle

Parents need to teach there kids better and stop codling them. I learnt from that and now my kids make me cups of Tea most nights

True JB , we have had some shockers over the years .
the one that told me to get f..ked and do it myself when I told her to open the gate was actually a 15 year old girl , shocked me a bit at the time .
I have had one parent abuse me when I didnt give her daughter a job at the end at the work experience - go figure ?
Have had kids sit here and stare at the wall / computer all week , great fun to have around .

the trouble is we remember the bad ones , I am sure there were some good ones there too .

surely I wasnt that bad when I went through

Nice work Tassie....we had two Swedish interns at work a few months back - they were so keen it was ridiculous!!!! It was a joy to write them a reference last month.
