drop ins , drop outs , dodging folk and then when you least expect it your board turns against you ....

10 stitches and a few inside too ... will have to wait at least a day before the next sesh

I saw this drop in, just shameless..

Hope the chin is okay..I have a similar cut (Not as bad) on my arse curtesy of sitting on my fins today, but i won't post a picture

Nasty broo... Hope you're back in the water soon.

Busted my nose surfing 1/2 foot beachie being a smart ass. Decided to do a back flip dismount, board rebounded off the end of the leggie and smashed my nose as I came back up... IDIOT!

Did the same a few years back Jas, except smashed teeth and fractured my jaw as well. Pissed me off big time as the waves were smoking and it was my first wave.
a word of advice, don't try and shave once it's healed. You end up with manky ingrown hairs. Grow a beard for 6-12 months

Nasty...Use Bio Oil on it (pharmacies have it) to help heal the wound and reduce the scarring once the stitches are out.
Too bad there's finally a decent little run of waves.

Just by way of (hopefully preventative)interest Jas, what part of the board and how did it hit you ? That is an unusual spot to get a cut like that ,almost looks like a slice!

amazing looking at the rail of the board.. not a mark on the rail but on the deck and bottom it burst from the pressure ... first ding and i did it myself

will be surfing again by wed but will make sure not to bump it will hurt like ****

Heal up quick looks like you did a good job of it, I have had a few chin splits myself, they happen so easy being skin right over bone and can be a pain to heal if too hasty with getting stitches out .
