Because if you hang out with people uglier than you it will make you seem more attractive...or to speak with and learn from like minded individuals

I love surfing - quite often on a longboard. Most of you blokes are really funny. I occasionally learn something really interesting or even helpful to my surfing.
And there's usually a whole lotta love in the room.

Trying to learn something ..... work out who people are, then meet them and realise I was way off the mark ie: Chrispy

Love the BS that goes on in here every day but mainly cause I love to surf .... I love to try to surf (that's better)

Mac, I got the impression yesterday that it was the reds (they have taken off again) that got someone fired up so much. He actually had a red hot crack at the anonymous 'trolls' but someone else thought that crack was directed at him - and it took off from there. A very small misunderstanding that escalated (meanwhile the thumbers sit back and spank their little monkeys when the arguments start).
It might be a cycle that ties in with crap waves and onshore winds too. Whatever, I am always glad when it blows over.

Because all I do all day is think about surfing! In the short space of time I've trying my luck at catching a few waves I have become totally addicted.

Because it is good to learn what boards other people ride, technical tips on fins etc.

Also a good time waster - most of my posts are during work hours.
